Role Title – Initial Guidance Consultant

Location – Birmingham

Travel – As required

Benefits – 25 days holiday plus all bank holidays

Hours – Full Time

Salary £20,000 per annum


t2 group are currently one of the largest training and coaching organisations in England and Wales. We have been successfully delivering Apprenticeships and their predecessors since 1996. t2 group works in partnership with The Skills Funding Agency, The Student Loans Company and the Welsh Government, to deliver apprenticeship programs.


Role Purpose:


This role requires an enthusiastic and motivated person with impeccable attention to detail. The Initial Guidance Consultant will be professional and dedicated to developing client relationships by delivering excellent customer service.


As an Initial Guidance Consultant your role is to give information advice and guidance to learners on the learning programs we offer. You will need to ensure that the learning programmes we deliver fit with the job role and the experience of all potential learners.


What is Advice and Guidance?


Advice - An opinion that someone offers you about what you should do or how you should act in a particular situation

Guidance – Help and advice about how to do something or about how to deal with problems connected with your work, education or personal relationships.


You will need to be an experienced ‘people’ person able to engage and relate with apprentices. Your role will be based around meeting employers and potential apprentices, promoting the advantages of the apprenticeship solution and completing detailed funding and eligibility paperwork.

A large proportion of this role will be travelling to and from employers, attending pre booked appointments.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide Information, advice and guidance to clients and learners.
  • Understand key product knowledge and concepts.
  • Provide accurate KPI information on a daily basis
  • Regularly liaise with Business Development Executives and Team Leader to ensure that the objectives, expectations and priorities of the team are met.

  • Desirables:
  • Strong IT skills
  • Welsh speaker (if based in Wales).
